11 Months Old and In Denial

How is this little baby already 11 months old?! I am having so much trouble wrapping my head around the fact that we will be celebrating his 1st birthday in less than a month!

I had been hoping I would be able to share this post the day he turned 11 months (I even had his photos taken ON the day!) but alas, here we are one week later and I'm finally hitting the publish button. Such is life!

As you can see, Isaac is absolutely full of smiles. The other day Tyler came home from work for lunch and said to me, "Every time I see him I just want to smile and pick him up and give him a great big hug!" It is so true...he brightens the day just by being himself.

This month he has really become more confident in his walking. He took 3 steps the day he turned 9 months old and then kind of backed off a bit after that. He became more comfortable just cruising along the furniture and crawling. (Now that he is 11 months and 1 week old I can safely say he uses walking as his main source of exploring...but that technically should go on next month's update. Shh!) He absolutely loves to grab hold of your legs and push until you start walking so he can hold on and walk with you.

He eats everything...almost! I am having trouble finding the right vegetables to entice his appetite. He loved green beans the first few times he had them and now he won't even touch them. He eats any kind of fruit, loves scrambled eggs, has started trying out more meat and will eat any muffin or biscuit you set in front of him. He gets 2 bottles a day and nurses each morning and evening. My supply has-not surprisingly- become quite little during this stage of pregnancy. We are hoping the Dr will find that he has gained a sufficient amount of weight at his checkup on Thursday! (He hadn't been gaining the last couple of times he had to go to the Dr.)

He loves to jabber and says "Dada Dada Dada" pretty much all day long. He climbs stairs and isn't afraid of adventure. He is wearing mainly straight 12 month clothing with a few 18 month shirts added in. He is FINALLY sleeping all throughout the night! Praise the Lord.

He joined the boys at the water table for the first time this month and didn't know what to think. If Ezra was around he pretty well crawled away. Ezra was enjoying splashing everything near and Isaac wasn't a fan. But when Ezra moved away Isaac did enjoy some time playing in the water...or chewing on toys.

Time really flies when you are in the midst of these early stages of motherhood. It's hard to believe I'm already planning a birthday party and a photo shoot for a soon to be 1 year old. This little boy is such a ray of sunshine and we love him so.
